Food Technology Corporation’s TMS lightweight Perspex and acetate cylinder probes enable penetration tests to be undertaken up to a maximum force of 500N. The AOAC Bloom is the standard fixture used for gelatin Bloom testing.
The use of Perspex means temperature sensitive texture measurements can be undertaken, obtaining accurate, repeatable results.
Several of these probes have radiused edges helping prevent cutting or breaking of the sample and are ideal for use on lower capacity load cells due to their low mass.
Custom designs and geometries are available on request.
For gel sample preparation and presentation (including Bloom strength jars), see our range of gel testing fixtures.
Applications
- Cheese and dairy products
- Jams, jellies and preserves
- Fruits and vegetables such as carrots, cherries, beetroot, apples, bananas, apricots and pears
